The Space Between is on as a script-in-hand rehearsed reading at the Stephen Joseph Theatre on 19th July. This one-act play won the Kenneth Branagh award for new drama writing at Windsor Fringe last year. I’ve developed it since and a new, longer version will be read in the McCarthy by Laura Crowhurst and Richard Stacey, directed by Paul Robinson.
In The Space Between, we meet Frida as she prepares for the conversation of her life. She’s been waiting for this – for 20 years. Frida reflects on her life, picks shame from the bones of betrayal, tears up her rap sheet of mistakes, and shines a light on love she found in an unexpected place. Then – it’s time…
I’m excited about this new version of The Space Between. Those of you who’ve seen it before will know it as a one-woman show. I’ve rewritten the play for two actors and I love how dynamic and energetic this new version is. I can’t wait to explore how it works on stage. There will be a short talkback session after the show so you can let me know what you think.

In case you missed it, here’s another link to the SJT video where I talk about the play.
We’d love to see you there if you can make it.
